Security here is not a side project bolted onto someone's day job. The team is looking for an engineer who takes genuine ownership and understands how the pieces of a global IT estate fit together.
Your Role
- Design and evolve the security solutions protecting a global infrastructure, including the firewall estate and the EDR and NDR platforms
- Contribute to the security architecture and act as the point of expertise on network and infrastructure questions
- Keep the central security components running reliably and securely day to day
- Work closely with IT teams in other countries and back them up as third-level support
- A degree in computer science from a university, university of applied sciences or technical college with a security focus, or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of hands-on security engineering, ideally gained in an international IT environment
- Solid grounding in network technology and in established security tooling such as WAF, NGFW and NDR
- A strongly analytical mind and real enjoyment of tracking down complex faults
- Confident written and spoken communication in both German and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally and to take part in the on-call rota
