Job Overview: As a FinOps/AWS Specialist, you will play a key role in optimizing the financial operations related to AWS usage. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance, excellent AWS skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in German.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Optimization:

  • Implement and maintain FinOps best practices to optimize AWS spending.
  • Analyze AWS usage patterns and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting related to AWS expenses.

• AWS Management:

  • Monitor AWS infrastructure and services to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and manage AWS cost allocation and resource tagging strategies.
  • Stay updated on AWS pricing changes and assess their impact on the organization.

• Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and engineering, to align FinOps practices with business goals.
  • Provide financial insights to stakeholders, explaining cost drivers and suggesting optimizations.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of AWS architecture, expenses, and FinOps processes.
  • Create reports and dashboards for financial and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience in FinOps practices and optimizing AWS costs.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, architecture, and pricing models.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher certification is a plus.
