System Admin / Engineer

Field of expertise: System Admin/Engineer | in Zurich | Permanent employment

For my Zurich based client in the financial service sector you will be working in a small team with a diverse range of System Admin and Engineering responsibilities.

The main technology areas that you will be focused on include Linux, Unix and AIX, as well as MS SQL and Oracle databases. Your responsibilities will be a mix of support, admin, engineering, release management and an element of vendor/project management. As such we are looking for an all rounder, rather than someone who likes to be deep within just one technology area.

To apply for this position you should have:

  • Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux and/or AIX (ideally all)
  • DBA knowledge of MS SQL or Oracle
  • 2nd and 3rd level support experience
  • Good general infrastructure and operations knowledge/experience
  • German language skills are a significant advantage
  • As is financial services experience
